Overview
Norton County is accepting applications for the position of Road & Bridge Supervisor. Applicant must be knowledgeable in equipment and road maintenance; possess strong management and communication skills; able to work with the public and organize the day to day operations of the county road department and awareness of the budget operations. The responsibilities will also include attending County Commission meetings and advising the Board of County Commissioners on maintenance of county roads and bridges and equipment issues as required.
Experience should include a combination of education and training that provides the necessary experience, knowledge, abilities and skills. Management experience is preferably a minimum of five (5) years in management or supervisory position. Strong people management and communication skills; planning skills; and knowledge of road and bridge construction and maintenance methods and techniques is essential.
Applicant needs to have a CDL license and complete pre-employment drug testing.
