About the Role: As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our recruitment process, supporting the talent acquisition team in finding top-tier candidates who align with the Center’s culture and values. You’ll be managing multiple tasks, from scheduling interviews to assisting with candidate communication, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process. Your contributions will help us attract and retain the best talent in the industry!
Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of recruitment duties to assist in the Human Resources operations of the Center.
Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, and the needs of the organization.
Handles the job posting and advertisement processes for both internal and external positions.
Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and directors.
Collaborates with the Human Resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
Conduct candidate reference checks to gather information about their background, experience, and skills.
Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
What You Bring to the Table:
A blend of education and experience that equips you with the skills for success
Preferably, 3+ years of experience in HR or recruiting
High school diploma (required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong grasp of office practices and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and tackle challenges with strong problem-solving skills
In-depth knowledge of the recruitment process
Tech-savvy, with a solid understanding of computers, software, and office equipment

About High Plains Mental Health Center
We are a Licensed Community Mental Health Center, Behavioral Health Clinic, and Licensed Substance Use Disorder treatment program for Northwest Kansas. We offer counseling, therapy, substance use treatment, community-based support services and psychiatry services. We have six full-time offices and 20 additional service locations. Telehealth services are widely available.
We proudly serve 20 counties which include 19,000 square miles in Northwest Kansas, since 1964. High Plains is a non-profit organization and one of the 26 Licensed Community Mental Health Centers in Kansas.
