About Phillips County Economic Development

Phillips County Economic Development (PCED) is an economic development organization located in Phillipsburg, KS, established to encourage the recruitment, retention, and expansion of businesses within the county, and to conduct such activity that will result in community investment, job creation, and an increased local tax base. Phillips County Economic Development operates under the governance of a five (5) member board of directors, appointed by the Phillips County Commissioners. As a department of Phillips County, the organization operates under an annual budget, funded primarily by a countywide one-half cent sales tax.
