Schedule: M-F; 8am-5pm (or as assigned by supervisor)

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and driven Psychosocial Group Team Lead to join our Community Support Services (CSS) / Community Based Services (CBS) team at High Plains Mental Health Center.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in developing and facilitating impactful psychosocial group programs for youth and adults across our catchment area, helping individuals improve their daily functioning, build coping skills, and enhance their quality of life. What You’ll Do:
- Lead Program Development: Identify, create, and implement psychosocial group curriculums that target emotional and behavioral improvements, such as coping, self-regulation, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with Recovery Specialists and treatment teams to identify individuals who will benefit from psychosocial groups, ensuring the right group placement for the right person.
- Facilitate Groups: Take a lead role in facilitating both youth and adult psychosocial groups in Hays, ensuring the quality of care and appropriate group sizes and ratios.
- Support Across Locations: Travel across the catchment area to support branch office staff in providing group services, including facilitating groups at branch or community locations based on staffing needs.
- Develop Summer Programs: Create and implement exciting summer group programming to provide access to services for all appropriate youth in our catchment area.
- Provide Training and Support: Mentor and provide training for Recovery Specialists (Case Managers) and other staff in facilitating groups, managing dynamics, handling challenging behaviors, and responding to crises.
- Maintain Resources: Ensure all necessary group supplies and resources are available, following the agency’s purchase order process to meet needs.
- Track Progress: Meet performance expectations, including direct service delivery and completing documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Team: Maintain positive, professional relationships with colleagues and provide support to all team members.
Qualifications:
- A BA/BS degree and at least 3 years of experience in the human services field, with a preference for 2 years of group facilitation experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing severe mental health challenges.
- Demonstrated competence in group dynamics and crisis management, with the ability to facilitate engaging and productive group sessions.
- Must meet the specifications outlined by CMHC licensing standards and complete any required training.
Successful completion of background checks (KBI, DCF Child Abuse Check, Adult Abuse Registry, and motor vehicle screens). - Proficient in using technology, including computers, software applications, and office equipment.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, both in personal development and in adapting to new technology and processes.

We are a Licensed Community Mental Health Center, Behavioral Health Clinic, and Licensed Substance Use Disorder treatment program for Northwest Kansas. We offer counseling, therapy, substance use treatment, community-based support services and psychiatry services. We have six full-time offices and 20 additional service locations. Telehealth services are widely available.
