Overview

Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems is seeking a full-time Plant Operations Worker. This role involves maintaining the facility, grounds, and equipment safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include routine maintenance and repairs in areas such as plumbing, plastering, electrical work, carpentry, mechanics, and groundskeeping. Training is available for the right candidate. This position requires “On Call” availability and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or its equivalency, plus education and experience in mechanical engineering – electricity, plumbing, refrigeration carpentry, grounds care, operation of and repair of boilers and air conditioners.
  • Must be willing to learn on the job, work with supervision and also supervise and instruct others.
  • Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
