Position Title: Human Resources Support Specialist

Reports to: Human Resources Director

Supervises: N/A

Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills

Certification/License: Maintain Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation, Ethics, Sexual Harassment, Emergency Preparedness, Vehicle Orientation, HIPPA, Bloodborn Pathogens and OSHA trainings and CPR, First Aid, and Mandt day 1 certifications

Education: Minimum of High School Diploma/GED

Position Summary: Perform clerical functions to support the operation of Human Resource Department

Experience: Experience in similar position

Skills:

·  Excellent word processing skills

·  Ability to meet deadlines

·  Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail

·  Ability to multi-task and refocus as needs change

Working Conditions:

·  May have high noise levels due to radio traffic, telephone calls, walk in clients, or other agency business

·  Temperatures will reflect seasonal changes at outdoor sites and attempts to maintain comfortable temperatures will be made at indoor sites

·  Must follow assigned work schedules that typically reflect hours Monday-Friday but schedules and hours vary based on need

·  Employees are expected to remain flexible and cooperative.

·  Duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office

 

Physical Requirements:

·  Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

·  Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, manipulate tools, or controls and grasp objects

·  Ability to listen and remember information

·  Ability to speak clearly

·  Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds

·  Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

·  Regularly required to stand, kneel, stoop, squat, talk, walk, sit, and hear

Requirements:

·  Develop processes to aid in recruitment, hiring and retention of employees

·  Comply with all agency, and departmental policies and procedures

·  Develop/implement activities to build/enhance company morale

·  Develop and manage potential/injury records for the Safety Committee and Work Comp

·  Assist in maintaining employee training records

·  Assist in job description development

· Cross check benefit invoices to staff benefit elections to ensure accuracy

· Conduct new employee tours as needed

· Assist in internal and external HR related matters

· Log and monitor employee training records

· Manage INA messaging program

· Manage employee ID program

· Initiate anniversary card process

· Send “no thank you” letters to applicants not hired and log in application tracking spreadsheet

· Ensure adequate copies are available of New Employee Training documents, benefit packets, and job descriptions

· Assist in phone coverage as needed

· Build/modify forms/documents as assigned

· Make MANDT completions certificates

· Print certificates of completion for MANDT classes

· Manage job postings on selected sites

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor

· Attends meetings and training as directed by supervisor
